Step 1...
Concept: |
Every Patch starts with an idea. That idea may be a theme an event to commemorate, or a brand identity. A good emblem converts that idea into an understandable graphic. What is most important is that the emblem gets the intended message across to your intended audience. Simplicity is always best. Don't try to crowd in too many details.
An idea, simply stated, makes for a better emblem. |
 |
Step 2...
Design: |
Prepare a rough or finished sketch, or send a logo,
letterhead, decal, photo, or sample emblem.
Indicate all colors ( see Picking Colors on the next page) along side of your design or by coloring in the artwork. If you are not an artist, don't worry... you dont have to draw your ideas! Simply describe your emblem design in words. Our art department
will interpret your ideas into a stunning graphic!
If you are an artist, be as precise as you like.
We will conform to your design as closely as possible. |
 |
Step 3...
Determining
Shape: |
 |
 |
Above are some suggestions for the shape of your emblem. Your design is not limited to the designs pictured here although they represent popular patterns. Use them if they are applicable
but feel free to consider other shapes as well. |
 |
Step 4...
Deciding
on Size: |
The proper size for your custom emblem is usually determined by its intended use: For Hats - 2-1/2" to 3-1/2" sizes are most common. For shoulder or front of jacket - 3-1/2" to 5" sizes are preferred.
Back patches usually range from 6" x 10" to 8" x 12" sizes. |
| * Size = length" + width" divided by 2 |
