Custom Embroidered Applique Patches
Appliques are often used in association with clothing and apparel, commonly being placed on backpacks and jeans, or used as small logos on the left breast of shirts or polos. Applique patches usually have diecut borders and are small in size—1-2 inches—with minimal detail. Unlike standard custom patch designs that are a mixture of images and text, designs for appliques do not have text, or sometimes contain only text, but are rarely a mix of both.

Appliques can also be slightly bigger with more detail, even filling the entire back of a jacket. This allows for more intricate detail and creativity in the design of the patch. Animal Appliques
Applique patches featuring animals, whether realistic or personified/cartoonish, seem to be the most popular type of applique. Animals are used for school mascots and sports teams, company logos, and much more. Stadri has done hounders of animal appliques—everything from cows, to tigers, to dragons.

Skull Appliques
Many different demographics love skull designs. They tend to be the most popular among bikers, military, and teenagers. We also see them used in company logos and certain types of clubs. Below are a few examples of different types of skull designs.

Biker Appliques
Most of the time, Motorcycle and Riding clubs are recognized by the large and colorful patches on the back of their vests or jackets, but those aren't the only types of patches bikers wear. Often, the front of a vest will be covered with many smaller patches they've had made for their group, or acquired over the years.

Boy and Girl Appliques
Many young boys and girls like to put applique patches on their jeans, jackets, backpacks, and any other surface that will allow for self-expression with patches. Stadri provides embroidered appliques to companies that sell these types of embroidered patches with no minimums, to individuals. Of course, you can order your own custom design through Stadri as well, at a six piece minimum.
