  • Many factors influence pricing. The base price per patch is determined by size and quantity, although many other factors can influence price, including number of colors, backing, specialty threads, rush service, ect...
  • You may pay by credit card, money order or personal check. Make checks payable to Stadri Emblems.
  • Yes. All artwork is emailed to you before going to production, unless you request otherwise. If you do not have an email address, a sales executive will make arrangements with you to send your artwork via another method.
  • Yes. Per your request, we will email you a sewn sample of your actual patch within three business days of artwork approval.
  • Customers usually receive their patches 2-3 weeks from artwork approval date, however we do provide a 7 Day Rush Service. Please call for pricing.
  • We ship FedEX ground unless the customer specifies otherwise. State sales tax applies to all orders shipped within New York State.
  • No. All the patches we do are custom, however our most popular sizes are 3”, 3 ½”, and 4”.
  • No embroidered patch will look 100% like the artwork which it is based off, and if you are told otherwise by another embroidery company, they are not telling you the truth.
  • If you have visited any our competitors' websites, you will find that all of the images of embroidered patches they have displayed are in fact NOT images of embroidered patches at all. They are images of artwork that has been run through software that generates an "embroidered look".
  • There is a problem with this. The generated image is not what an embroidered patch actually looks like. This causes the customer to be fooled into thinking he is getting a higher quality product than he actually is.
  • Stadri does not use this gimmick. All of the embroidered patch images you will see on our site are scans of real patches that we have produced for real customers.
  • WITH THIS ARTWORK,
    PROVIDED BY CUSTOMER:

AT A LARGER SIZE THE CLARITY AND DETAIL IMPROVE SIGNIFICANTLY
    9" Embroidered Patch
    (embroidered patch 9.5")
  • Every embroidered patch starts with a piece of twill fabric, then threads are stitched on top of it. Embroidery coverage refers to whether or not the entire surface of the twill will be covered by thread.

On this patch, the background is not stitched, leaving the blue twill exposed. This is ideal if your design has a large area of solid color. It is also a lower cost option. (one twill color per patch)   On this patch, thread completely covers the twill. Ordering a 100% embroidered patch is simply a matter of preference. Many customers prefer it because of the thickness and fullness it adds.
  • The most common type of border is a merrowed border, which wraps around the edge of the entire patch. This is best for simple shapes, such as circles, squares, rectangles, ect. A diecut border is cut to the shape of the design and is ideal for more complex custom shapes with many incuts and sharp angles.

  • All BSA council and unit patches will have the "BSA Officially Licensed Product" backing at no additional charge. This backing will help prevent illegal and unauthorized Boy Scout patch reproductions.

  • You may add any of the following in addition to BSA backing:
  • PLASTIC: This backing adds stiffness and gives your patch support, allowing it to retain its shape over time. It is still thin enough to sew through. There is no charge for this backing.

HEATSEAL: Another word for iron-on. Allows you to apply your patch onto a garment using a home iron. If you are planning to wash your garment more than 50-80 times after the patch is applied, it is recommended that the heatseal only be used for pre-placement before sewing, and then followed up with a few tag stitches along the patch to hold it in place longer. NOTE: Heatseal will NOT stick to nylon.

VELCRO: One (hook) side or both sides are available.

ADHESIVE: This is a peel and stick backing to hold a patch is place for a single event. Will not hold up to machine washing. If you desire your patch to stay in place permanently, go with the heatseal option, or plastic and sew your patches.

MAGNETIC: A magnetic strip is placed on the entire back surface, turning your patch into an embroidered magnet.

  • You may have up to 10 colors for free. Each additional color is 10 cents per patch.
  • Unless you have particular Pantone® or exact colors that must be on your design, our artists will match the colors in your design as closely as possible to our thread colors (We do not always guarantee an exact match). You can view our thread colors by clicking here. Pantone® color selections, must be in Coated or Uncoated.
  • Without sacrificing quality and legibility, all lettering should be ¼” in height, which is the equivalent of 14 points in a standard word processing program.
  • You have a few options. First you can allow one of our artists to alter your design by removing some detail and increasing the size of the text. If this does not appeal to you, you may choose to increase the overall size of your patch. This will however, increase the price as well. Lastly, you may change the production process to a woven or a printed patch, which will allow for significant amounts of detail at small sizes.
